OUR MODEL OF EMPOWERMENT

FOUR PILLARS OF EMPOWERMENT

Empowerment and belonging is at the center of our mission and is the reason why we exist. We believe each one of us has a desire to do meaningful work, to apply our time and energy to something that brings purpose to our lives, and value to the lives of others. These characteristics are not unique to a culture or nationality or ethnicity, they are central to our common humanity.

Through our multifaceted and holistic approach, we work with each woman to create a pathway to empowerment that leads to self-reliance and job creation. Each 4 month program includes approximately 35-hours per week of paid on the job training and vital enrichment classes.

Our program is rooted in FOUR MAIN PILLARS;

  1. TRANSITIONAL INCOME
  • Part-time transitional job (3-4 month program)
  • A dignified job that promotes self-esteem and confidence
  • A flexible work schedule that takes into account family obligations, transportation challenges, and partnered efforts towards permanent job placement
  • A supportive, safe, and validating environment where they can grow, learn, and overcome barriers, which otherwise would have been too great to overcome
  1. JOB READINESS TRAINING AND JOB PLACEMENT
